Year 6 Seagate STEM day
19th Jan 2020
This week, our year 6 classes had the opportunity to participate in a fantastic day of STEM workshops, led by a brilliant team of engineers from Seagate. The children learned about some of the many kinds of engineers and the different jobs they do, looked at some devices made by Seagate and some even had the chance to try on “Clean Room Suits”, and discussed why Seagate engineers wear them. In the hall, pupils took part in a number of practical activities including building and firing rockets, controlling a robot arm, driving robots around a map, magnetism, and controlling robots using an iPad. A thoroughly enjoyable day for all!
