Celebrating 50 Days of Easter
Good morning everyone. I hope you are all well and enjoyed your Easter break in very different circumstances. Today begins a new term, one where you will continue with your school community to meet the challenges that this Coronavirus has presented. To all of you and in particular those who have been personally impacted, you are very much in our prayers. In his homily on Sunday Fr Paul reminded us that when Jesus rose and Thomas doubted, he invited him to touch his wounds. The Resurrected Jesus still had his wounds. The wounds of this virus, in time too, will need to be touched, acknowledged and healed through the Risen Jesus present in each one of us. It is a journey that will take time and great love and you as school communities will as ever play a central role. We will do this together as always.
Thank you so much for all that was done to help our children and families celebrate Holy Week-the response was amazing-the children’s creativity gave great hope to so many. The Catechetical Centre Website will continue to provide support for children, families and staff- www.catecheticalcentre.org
Can I draw your attention to our Easter pack 50 Days/50 Acts of Love-would you pass it on to children-they can start now and catch up! Also, we have put the book Where is God? up on the website for free downloading-text, audio reading by Mary Murphy and a song by the Hickey School of music. There are free colouring pages, prayers and links to useful websites. Other resources will appear as we go along.
If there is any further help or support, you feel you need please get in touch. Would you also pass this email to your staff?
God bless and stay safe
